Description:Job Overview: Join our team as a DME Specialist and
become a vital link in our patient care journey. Your
responsibilities will include assisting physicians with DME
applications, educating patients on usage and care, managing orders
for billing and inventory, and maintaining communication with our
DME Manager on product evaluations and provider requests. This role
is pivotal in our commitment to delivering comprehensive patient
care and ensuring our patients have access to the latest
advancements in medical equipment. Department: DMEReports to: DME
ManagerSchedule/Type: FT - onsite/hourly Wage: $17-22/hr,
commensurate with experienceBonus Eligibility: NoRequirements: Key
Responsibilities:Work closely with physicians to apply and instruct
patients on various types of DME equipment.Efficiently manage DME
orders, inputting them into our Electronic Medical Records system
(EMR) and inventory portal.Monitor our Orthoshop, providing
patients with self-pay DME items and coordinating with vendors for
product returns or defects.Coordinate with our DME Manager on new
product evaluations and requests from providers.Educate patients on
proper methods for ambulation with crutches, canes, and
walkers.Ensure timely procurement of supplies, services, and
equipment, and monitor inventory levels.Assist with DME billing
responsibilities as needed, handling claims, authorizations, and
denials.Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent required;
medical office experience preferred.In-depth knowledge of DME
equipment and medical office procedures.Familiarity with
musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology.Strong organizational and
communication skills.Ability to adapt in a dynamic medical office
environment.Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in
patient care.Problem-solving abilities and a customer service
