Part-time Bookkeeper with Payroll Processing and Tax Prep for a Small CPA Firm
Job Summary:
The part-time bookkeeper with payroll processing and tax prep will be responsible for managing the financial records of the small CPA firm, processing payroll for clients, and preparing tax documents. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Record and categorize financial transactions in the firm's accounting system
  
  
• 
  Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  
  
• 
  Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  
  
• 
  Process payroll for clients, including calculating wages, preparing paychecks, and submitting payroll tax payments
  
  
• 
  Assist with the preparation of tax returns for individuals and small businesses
  
  
• 
  Communicate with clients regarding their financial records, payroll, and tax documents
  
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including payroll tax laws
  
  
• 
  Provide administrative support as needed, including filing and data entry
  
  
  After training, this role offers quite a bit of WFH flexibility.
  Requirements
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
    
    
  • 
    2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and tax preparation
    
    
  • 
    Knowledge of accounting principles, payroll processing, and tax laws
    
    
  • 
    Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
    
    
  • 
    Excellent organizational and time-management skills
    
    
  • 
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    
    
  • 
    Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
    
    
    Working Hours and Compensation:
    This is a part-time position, with an expected workload of approximately 20 hours per week.
