Summary:
We are looking for an Associate Accountant who has experience working in full -cycle accounting tasks including accounts receivable and accounts payable and other bookkeeping tasks
Responsibilities:

• Handle payments from customers via credit cards, ACH payments or checks
• Reconcile customer payments for month-end close and establish a routine to regularly follow up with accounts who have overdue balances
• Complete bank reconciliations and supporting schedules for month-end close
• Process weekly bills, including employee expense reports and reimbursements
• Responsible for Landed Cost entries and maintenance
• Reconcile intercompany account balances
• Process all foreign currency transactions for Canada and the US but not limited to other countries
• Post monthly journal entries, including monthly accruals, prepayments and commissions
• Balance and maintain general ledger and financial files in accordance with US GAAP
• Work with auditors to manage and complete the quarterly and year-end Canadian and U.S. federal and state tax reporting
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system with ambition for process improvement Your profile:
  • 2 Years directly related experience
  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in accounting
  • Extensive experience with MS Office programs (especially Word and Excel)
  • NetSuite experience a plus
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate courteously and proactively
  • We need an energetic, driven, and optimistic team player who wants to work hard for a growing company and is adaptable to change
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to meet multiple pending deadlines
    At KJUS we feel that working from the office as much as possible increases collaboration, innovation, and productivity while contributing to our strong company culture. Candidates for this role are required to be local to the office and cannot be remote. However, after the first 60 days of employment, they have the option to partake in our hybrid work model if they believe they will thrive by incorporating the flexibility of a mixture of in-office and remote work.
