Building a high-performance team, this leader will focus on accelerating the innovation pipeline, delivering incredible product launches that strengthen customers relationships and attract new customers to support the growth of the regions we serve. Driving strong fundamental marketing practices, this individual will help lead the organization to achieve +5% growth sustainably, while demonstrably increasing the value of our POI through market and needs assessment, selection, and execution. Please note: Preference is for employee to be based in Boulder, CO or North Haven, CT. Global travel percentage increases from 20% to 50% for remote candidates as monthly travel to either site will be required. - SURGICAL INNOVATIONS - sets the standard for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) by creating innovative surgical products and services that focus on obesity and diseases and conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, lung, abdominal wall, pelvic region, and the head and neck. A Day in the Life

  • Global Portfolio Development: Build and execute a robust pipeline of iterative and innovative new products, platforms, and solutions. Execute the Marketing portion of the PD process through commercialization. Develop a comprehensive and prioritized POI of pre-PD product programs to continually incorporate into the PD process. Support product launches globally helping to ensure customer acquisition of technology. Support development of launch materials, sales support tools, and educational aids etc. that allow regions to grow market-share and ensure channel excellence.
  • Global Portfolio Management: Evaluate market trends, financial analysis, and changing consumer and user behaviors to lead upstream execution of margin expansion initiatives through COGs reduction programs, product rationalization assessments, and technology combination programs. -
  • Represent Customer Voice: -Capture and communicate customer behaviors through qualitative and quantitative assessment to provide marketing inputs to the fit / form / function of our current and future products. Provide feedback and insight on the commercial viability of innovation ideas in the NPD process as well as represent customers in future innovation endeavors. Attend QATF and VATF activities with Plant Manufacturing representing customers.
  • Technology Evidence Leadership: Champion the identification and incorporation of data driven technical and medical evidence into new products and offerings enabling customers (physicians, administrators, payers, and patients) to understand how such evidence practically meets their needs setting the ASI portfolio apart from others in the market.
  • Team Development : W ill be responsible for investing in and developing the marketing talent that will grow into our marketing leaders of tomorrow . This leader will encourage the pursuit of IDP's, monitoring progress and providing feedback; while also working side by side in the functional and technical skill development of their employees. They will embrace creativity and diversity of every manner and provide the opportunity for smart risk taking. Must Have: Minimum Requirements
    • Bachelors degree required
    • Minimum of 15 years of marketing or product development experience with 10+ years of managerial experience , or Advanced Degree with a minimum 13 years prior marketing or product development experience, minimum of 10 years of managerial experience
    • 5+ Years of Director or 2+ years of Senior Director level experience
    • Must have Medical Tech industry experience - Nice to Have
      • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business
      • MBA highly preferred -
      • Track record of driving innovation through NPD
      • Demonstrated achievement of business goals
      • Demonstrated ability to learn technical information and apply technical concepts
      • Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a matrix organization
      • High level of financial acumen, forecasting and budget management
      • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and POI management
      • Strong understanding of surgical procedures and product performance
      • Strong analytical skills to analyze and complete financial/profitability analysis, project innovation adoption, and complete market assessments and segmentation
      • Highly effective verbal communication skills
      • Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and lead others
      • Recognize the importance of building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships
      • Willing to travel globally (20%).
      • Fluency in English
      • Excellent IT skills, including all Microsoft packages
      • Business Development and Licensing experience
