This position will be located in Boulder, CO.Overview:As a Sr. Principal Hardware Engineer you will be developing and sustaining systems using current technologies and others yet to come. We are seeking individuals who have a thirst for knowledge, approach each day with optimism, and have a relentless drive to solve complex problems. Creativity and innovation are imperative for this role, because at Northrop Grumman, many of the problems we work on are impossible until they re not.The selected Sr. Principal Hardware Engineer will work the Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) S2E2 program.Essential Functions:The selected candidate will join a team supporting a critical national defense mission. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:Day to day execution focus and close coordination with S2E2 Execution TeamCost, schedule, and technical responsibility for S2E2Cost Account Management (CAM) oversight, Change Request (CR), Baseline Change Request (BCR), Variance Analysis Report (VAR) Approvals, Page and Line, Monthly Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) ReviewEnsure technical coordination with Raytheon, Azusa, and Lockheed Martin POCsAttend program specific meetings to maximum extent, representing the Program Management Office: FRBs, CCBs, ERBs, Risk Boards, NG Monthly EV, Weekly Schedule Review, Weekly customer meetings, Weekly Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, IPT lead meetingsOwnership and status of program deliverables and giver/receivers for program to/from LM customerBasic Qualifications:Bachelor s Degree from an accredited university and 9 years of related experience, or a Master s degree and 7 years of related experience, or a PhD and 4 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Experience with HW and RF systems, technical troubleshooting, and problem solvingExperience leading high performing multiple-disciplinary teams to successful outcomesRecent CAM experience supporting DoD compliant EVMSRecent Project Engineer (PE) experience supporting program schedule milestonesExperience with MS Office suite of tools (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance is required to startPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or RF Engineering or related discipline.Familiarity with functional analysis, detailed studies, interface definition to translate system requirements into subsystem specificationsFamiliarity with integration, installation, test, and documentation of new and/or modified capabilities into complex systems.Ability to travel between 10 % of the yearActive Top Secret/SCI security clearance or the ability to obtainMilitary experience or experience interacting with military customerSalary Range: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
