Job Description:
SNI Technology's client located in Greeley, CO is immediately
seeking to hire a Veteran Services Specialist for an exciting,
5-month contract opportunity. This part-time position is expected
to be 20 hours per week working primarily onsite in Greeley, CO and
paying $23.22 hourly during the contract duration of the
assignment. The estimated duration for this assignment is through
December 31, 2025. Veteran Services Specialist The Veteran Services
Specialist assists the Veterans Student Success Coach with
providing cultural, educational, and social programming for
students who identify as military-affiliated. The Veteran Services
Specialist specifically assists students with veterans' benefits
and certifications (ensuring that Veteran/military-affiliated
students are in compliance with federal VA regulations to be
eligible for Veteran's benefits) as well as providing programming
and social support activities for military-affiliated students.
Position Duties & Responsibilities: Provide a welcoming, inclusive,
and safe environment for Veteran/military-affiliated students.
Refer students to academic resources on-and-off-campus
(veteran-affiliated organizations in particular). Learn and stay up
to date on VA requirements by attending trainings, and/or necessary
conferences. Receive training and become a Veterans VA Certifying
Official. On-Going Training to Learn & stay updated on current VA
Requirements: Create social programs and events for students.
Assist with the coordination of the student vet club. Serve as one
of the club advisors. Assist Veteran Success Coach with supporting
students with academic success, social support, academic coaching,
and other veteran student success initiatives (both through
individual student support and group programs). Teach students how
to register online and use Web Services features. Refer students to
appropriate resources on and off campus based upon their needs and
course selection. Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's
degree in a related field, plus one (1) year of related experience
OR Associates degree in related field, plus three (3) years of
related experience OR 5 years of related experience is required.
Some experience working with military veterans and/or VA education
benefits is required. Prior experience with Excel (as this position
requires heavy spreadsheet work, data management, and record
keeping/documentation. Desired Qualifications: Having a military
background is a big plus to have as well, but not required. Prior
education system experience and/or knowledge of is helpful, but not
required. Pay Rate The pay rate for this position is $23.22 per
hour during the contractual period of the assignment.
