We provide the resources, inspiration and focus and if you have the passion and courage to dream big, we want to build a better tomorrow with you!JOB DESCRIPTION / TYPICAL TASKPlease note: This is an non-exempt hourly position best suited for an individual who is currently enrolled or has graduated from a 2 -year associate degree program in a technical or STEM discipline in the past 1 to 5 years.As an Engineering Aide / Project Aide, you will be a key technical member supporting the design, development, test, and manufacturer of spacecrafts, missiles, and ground support hardware. The following are examples of duties that may be included:* Reviewing technical documents to identify and resolve discrepancies, perform requirements analysis, coordinate technical exchange meetings, develop presentation material, and handle peer reviews* Generating engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, schedules, and schematics* Parts and design tracking from detail design to order, fabrication, receiving, disbursement, cleaning, installation and test* Performing detailed calculations using established formulas; preliminary analysis of data where guidelines are provided, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data* Lab and facilities personnel coordination for operations* Attending daily and weekly team meetings to discuss technical, schedule and operations issues, etc.* Weekly status chart package and reporting to programs/managementHere are some of the benefits you can enjoy as an employee of Lockheed Martin:* Medical, Dental & Vision* 401k Retirement Plans* Paid time off* Work/life balance* Career development* Mentorship opportunities* Rewards & recognition* Tuition ReimbursementCandidates should be local to the Lockheed Martin Space facilities to be considered.Basic Qualifications* Associates degree in Engineering or related science/engineering field* Basic understanding of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) principles as well as the ability to interpret, generate, and present technical material and problem solve* Currently enrolled and/or graduating with a related STEM Associate Degree* Candidate should not be currently pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree as this is a full-time entry role* Early career talent with 0-5 years of work experience* Demonstrated technical experience in the form of professional experience, internships, and/or other technical training (i.e. senior projects, industry sponsored projects, etc.)* Ability to work in a fast paced, high work volume, highly technical, small team environment* Ability to tackle detailed technical assignments often requiring learning or developing planning and integration skills* Desire to continually learn, ambition to proactively address challenges, and aspiration to work in a team with dynamic strengths and environment* Ability to obtain security clearance* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Power Point, Project, Word and Excel applications
