This is a full-time permanent role, which is responsible for designing electronic systems and modules for new analytical instrumentation products and providing sustaining support for existing products.Responsibilities:Create component and assembly CAD files, specify materials, and establish acceptable performance criteria andstandardsCreate and execute test plans to qualify components, verify performance, and document resultsAddress component obsolescence issues working with cross functional teamsTroubleshoot and bring up PCBAs using sound engineering principlesManage electrical projects through design, test, and implementation phases and share technical knowledge with the groupManage design activities through design reviews, prototyping, and communicating schedule, milestones, and status to project teamsLead the development of electrical specifications for product developmentWork independently to identify problems and formulate solutionsManage Engineering Change Orders and follow Configuration Management release processesSalary: $100 - 135k dependent on experienceRequirementsRequirementsRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar7+ years' experience in Product Design - development and test of electronic assemblies7+ years' experience with analog designProficient in both analog and digital designHands-on lab experience with PCB bring up and troubleshootingExperience with component selection and qualificationEffective communication across the organization. Interacts and collaborates with technical colleagues and cross functional groupsAltium DesignerExperience integrating embedded system processors and low-level firmware used on PCBsFamiliar with circuit simulation and modeling tools such as PSPICE and MATLABFamiliar with CPLD/FPGA programmingExperience designing for EMI/ESD protectionKnowledge of PCB manufacture and assembly process including DFT and DFMExperience with vendor management/qualificationBenefitsBenefitsWhy work with Brunel?
