Grumman is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to be located in
Boulder, CO supporting our Payload & Ground Systems
organization.Primary Duties
- Provide site support for Network, Configuration Management and
Installation/Checkout of all software, hardware, network and
external connectivity of the SESAMI in FORGE Related
environment
- Site personnel shall provide 24/7 on-call support
- Site personnel shall deliver and update training material to
assist Government and contractor operations personnel with
understanding how the SESAMI produces event-related data and
training on differences from the previous SESAMI baseline
- Site personnel shall update system configuration documentation
and technical bulletinsDev*Ops / Testing
- Develop and implement processes and tools for installation and
deployment of products
- Coordinate with development, operations, quality, and
management teams to ensure installation and integration efforts are
documented and agreed upon
- Ensures delivered product has passed all required gates
(testing, QA, customer defined acceptance testing)
- Assists in Site Installation
- Participate in software version testing and evaluation and
provide feedback to the Development community
- Support Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
- Support Site Regression Test
- Manage and obtain all Site board approvals
- Communicate risks to Program Management
- Assist Configuration Management in software upgrades
- Complete SESAMI related documentation
- Document all Software problems and follow up with accurate
resolution
- Transfer of both classified and unclassified system data and
documents between the development and operational site
environments
- Represents the Northrop Grumman SESAMI Software Development
Team at the siteThis opening can be filled at either a Level 3 or a
Level 4 depending on experience. See Level 3 requirements under
Basic Qualifications and Level 4 under Preferred
Qualifications.Basic Qualifications:--- Principal DevOps Engineer
(Level 3)- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or related
Engineering disciplines with a minimum of 5 years of experience as
Software Developer or related field; 3 years of experience required
with a Master's degree, 0 years and a PhD. 4 years additional
experience in lieu of a degree--- Sr. Principal DevOps Engineer
(Level 4)- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or related
Engineering disciplines with a minimum of 9 years of experience as
Software Developer or related field; 7 years of experience required
with a Master's degree, 4 years and a PhD --- Experience using
programming, such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell Preferred
Qualifications:--- Experience using monitoring, logging, and
visualization tools--- Experience using configuration management
frameworks (e.g. Ansible/Chef/Puppet)--- Experience working with
infrastructure, such as servers and networking--- Hands-on
knowledge of Docker technologies--- Demonstrated Site Reliability
Engineering/Dev*Ops Principles--- Experience working in the cloud
environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Salary Range: $101,400 USD -
$152,200 USD Salary Range 2: $125,800 USD - $188,600 USD Employees
may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
