has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal/Sr. Principal
Hardware Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse
individuals. This position will be located in Boulder,
CO.Overview:As a Principal/Sr. Principal Hardware Engineer you will
be developing and sustaining systems using current technologies and
others yet to come. We are seeking individuals who have a thirst
for knowledge, approach each day with optimism, and have a
relentless drive to solve complex problems. Creativity and

they're not.The selected Principal/Sr. Principal Hardware Engineer
will work the Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) S2E2
program.Essential Functions: The selected candidate will join a
team supporting a critical national defense mission. The
responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the
following:
- Day to day execution focus and close coordination with S2E2
Execution Team
- Cost, schedule, and technical responsibility for S2E2
- Cost Account Management (CAM) oversight, Change Request (CR),
Baseline Change Request (BCR), Variance Analysis Report (VAR)
Approvals, Page and Line, Monthly Earned Value Management Systems
(EVMS) Review
- Ensure technical coordination with Raytheon, Azusa, and
Lockheed Martin POCs
- Attend program specific meetings to maximum extent,
representing the Program Management Office: FRBs, CCBs, ERBs, Risk
Boards, NG Monthly EV, Weekly Schedule Review, Weekly customer
meetings, Weekly Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, IPT lead
meetings
- Ownership and status of program deliverables and
giver/receivers for program to/from LM customerThis requisition may
be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed
below.This requisition may be filled as either a Principal Hardware
Engineer or a Sr. Principal Hardware Engineer.Basic Qualifications
for a Principal Hardware Engineer:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 5 years of
related experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of related
experience, or a PhD and 0 years of related experience. An
additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu
of a degree.
- Experience with HW and RF systems, technical troubleshooting,
and problem solving
- Experience leading high performing multiple-disciplinary teams
to successful outcomes
- Recent CAM experience supporting DoD compliant EVMS
- Recent Project Engineer (PE) experience supporting program
schedule milestones
- Experience with MS Office suite of tools (i.e., Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Project)
- A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security
clearance is required to startBasic Qualifications for a Sr.
Principal Hardware Engineer:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 9 years of
related experience, or a Master's degree and 7 years of related
experience, or a PhD and 4 years of related experience. An
additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu
of a degree.
- Experience with HW and RF systems, technical troubleshooting,
and problem solving
- Experience leading high performing multiple-disciplinary teams
to successful outcomes
- Recent CAM experience supporting DoD compliant EVMS
- Recent Project Engineer (PE) experience supporting program
schedule milestones
- Experience with MS Office suite of tools (i.e., Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Project)
- A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security
clearance is required to startPreferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or RF Engineering
or related discipline.
- Familiarity with functional analysis, detailed studies,
interface definition to translate system requirements into
subsystem specifications
- Familiarity with integration, installation, test, and
documentation of new and/or modified capabilities into complex
systems.
- Ability to travel between 10 % of the year
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance or the ability to
obtain
- Military experience or experience interacting with military
customer Salary Range: $92,200 USD - $138,400 USD Salary Range 2:
$114,300 USD - $171,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
