Manufacturing Engineer IILocation:Boulder, Colorado, United StatesRequisition #:22000H9IPost Date:4 days agoCareers that Change LivesDescription:The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for owning and driving all Medtronic and contract manufacturing site qualifications in support of new and replacement injection molded tooling.This role will work with multiple internal cross functional teams to ensure proper execution of Medtronic qualification activities are followed that comply to all procedures and satisfy all manufacturing requirementsThe Manufacturing Engineer II is part of a global engineering organization for Medtronics Molding Capital Tooling Team. Their work is mainly independent, expecting limited travel to Manufacturing Sites or Suppliers, and they will assume a team lead role for Mold/Tooling Projects.Experience:

  • Experience project leader of cross functional teams including RD, Marketing, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality, Sourcing and Supply Chain through qualification processes
  • Strong understanding in the execution of qualifications/validations within a manufacturing environment
  • Coordination of all qualification requirements with the associated manufacturing site
  • Ensure final Documentation Completed for manufacturing site
  • Proficient in generating qualification requirements and reports to support approved plans
  • Experience working within a regulated industry (medical device or automotive)A Day in the LifeResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
    • Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
    • Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
    • Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
    • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
    • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
    • Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
    • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
    • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
    • Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.Must Have: Minimum Requirements
      • Bachelors degree required
      • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experienceNice to Have
        • Experience with contract manufacturers
        • SCC and Agile MAP experience is a plus
        • CDP and Agile experience is a plus
        • Solid understanding of the injection molding process
        • Statistics, MSA, MiniTab understandingSkill Abilities:
