Thunder is seeking a Test Engineer I to join our agile software
development team focused on DevSecOps solutions. As a Test Engineer
I, you will play a crucial role in supporting the software
development team focused on DEVSECOPS solutions. Your
responsibilities will revolve around developing and implementing
system test solutions while adhering to project technical,
schedule, and cost constraints. This role also involves assisting
the team in devising innovative Test Automation solutions and
actively participating in the execution of comprehensive system and
element-level test plans and procedures. You will contribute to
system integration plans, participate in peer reviews, and support
project technical risk analysis and mitigation.Complete
DescriptionAs a Test Engineer I, you will be an essential member of
our software development team, specializing in DEVSECOPS solutions.
Your primary responsibility will be to support the development of
system test solutions in line with project technical, schedule, and
cost requirements. You will work closely with the team to develop
groundbreaking Test Automation solutions that enhance efficiency
and accuracy in testing processes.
- Your day-to-day activities will include participating in the
preparation and execution of comprehensive system and element-level
test plans and procedures.
- Additionally, you will assist in system/element-level test
planning and test readiness reviews to ensure the software/hardware
systems are ready for testing.
- In this role, you will be responsible for documenting test
requirements and methodologies in the requirements management
system, ensuring they are accurate, comprehensive, consistent, and
complete.
- You will review system engineering documentation to verify that
test plans and methodologies align with system needs and maintain a
high level of technical quality and engineering rigor.
- Your expertise will also be leveraged in the development of
system integration plans, procedures, and scenarios for
software/hardware system integration testing.
- As a valued team member, you will participate in engineering
peer reviews both as a document originator and reviewer,
contributing to technical quality and engineering excellence.
- To manage project risks effectively, you will participate in
project technical risk analysis and collaborate with the team to
devise suitable mitigation strategies.Minimum Requirements
- Familiarity or experience with Agile software development
methodologies, i.e., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe.
- Familiarity or experience with test automation.
- Familiarity with MS Office suite of tools (i.e., Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Project).Preferred Requirements
- Security + Certification.
- Familiarity or experience in using a requirements management
tool, such as DOORS.
- Familiarity or experience in using a discrepancy management
tool, such as Jira.
- Familiarity or experience with continuous integration and
deployment environments and tools such as Bamboo.
- Familiarity or experience with version control tools such as
Bitbucket.
- Familiarity or experience with Unix/Linux operating
systems.
- Familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System
(BMEWS) Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry (PAVE) Phased Array
Warning System (PAWS) (BPP) or other ground-based radars such as
the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System
(PARCS).
- Familiarity or experience in writing scripts using scripting
languages such as Korn Shell, Bourne Shell, Python, Perl, bash,
