Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense, Space, and Security
(BDS), Space Weapons and Information Systems is seeking a Protected
Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES) Chief Engineer . This job
location will be located in Colorado Springs, CO . Why This is an
Exciting Role? As a Program Chief Engineer at BDS, this position
will be responsible for overall technical leadership of system
analysis, design, development, integration, test, and deployment,
serving as the top technical decision authority on the program.
This position is the single focal point responsible for technical
excellence on the program. The Chief Engineer establishes the
technical vision and establishes design practices for the
organization that are robust, scalable, and aligned with industry
best practices, ensuring alignment with business goals, and driving
the implementation of innovative solutions. The focus is on
creating and maintaining a cohesive overall design for the
organization's systems and applications. This includes making
high-level design decisions, setting technical standards, and
ensuring that the technical products meet the customer's and
company's expectations. Position Responsibilities: Responsible for
safety and product integrity Final RAA for the specification,
configuration, design, and certification/verification (including
all changes) Focal point for regulatory issues Customer technical
interface Senior engineering leader for the program Maintaining
visibility of and helping mitigate risks identified in engineering
program engagement points Identifying resource needs Overseeing
technical performance of those assigned to the program Ensuring
engineers on the program use appropriate technical processes,
procedures and tools in support of executing customer requirements
and appropriate governance Formal technical reports, technical
products, and presentations Formal technical interface between
engineering and other functions, such as manufacturing or contracts
Establishment, validation, and management of product quality and
performance metrics for the program Maintaining a strong focus on
quality, performance, and security while fostering a culture of
continuous improvement and innovation Responsible for dividing the
system into modular components to be built by the Agile teams and
for establishing secure environments and infrastructure for
development, integration, and test This position requires an active
U.S Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S.
Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is
considered active) Basic Qualifications (Required
Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering,
Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology),
Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or
non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work
statement. Senior, Level 5: typically 14 or more years' related
work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education
and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. Principal,
Level 6: typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience or
non-US equivalent qualifications. 7 years experience with
architecture of programs similar in size and scope to PTES Active
DoD Secret Clearance Experience in Agile Software development
Experience with and a deep understanding of MILSATCOM ground
systems design/architectural principles to include the full
development and fielding lifecycle Experience with successful
project technical leadership including strict adherence to product
quality Proven ability to lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary
team composed of systems engineers, architects, developers,
testers, and technicians Excellent communication skills with the
ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical
and non-technical audiences Preferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience): Experience with the PATS architecture and
CONOPS Experience with any of the following: Agile development
methodologies, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), Hardware and
software development, Deployment to GFE infrastructure. or
Analysis, Validation, and Verification Experience with Safety,
Human Factors, Cyber Reliability and Maintainability, and adherence
to training/functional requirements Relocation assistance is not a

Summary pay range Senior, level 5: $ 154,700 - $ 209,300 Summary
pay range Principal, level 6: $ 185,300 - $ 250,700 Language
