This position is based in our global headquarters office located in Boulder Colorado.The RoleWe are looking for an M&A Project Manager (PM) with experience managing multiple projects and working on high-profile M&A and strategic partnership projects. This position requires a well-rounded individual who won't miss details while guiding multiple cross-functional teams. We are seeking an individual who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment, who can distill complex problems into actionable work, and ultimately help to drive projects to completion.

This project management role will have a wide range of responsibilities, including cross-functional leadership of strategic projects associated with acquisitions and partnerships, as well as other critical business initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record of project management skills, business acumen, financial modelling, and ideally experience with M&A integrations. Your work will be complex, often ambiguous, and will require a balance between strategic thinking and tactical execution focus.Additionally, the candidate will:

  • Be a strong communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Display strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Have a track record of engaging at mid to senior level leadership.
  • Lead the research and profiling analysis for M&A targets and partnerships.Specific Job Responsibilities:
    • Project Manager for diligence and operational integration activities associated with M&A and strategic partnerships.
    • Support high-level business case development and perform financial modelling.
    • Project manage strategic partnerships, cross-functionally providing support to product line management, engineering, manufacturing, and other functions as needed for successful execution.
    • Lead the end-to-end project management of strategic, high-profile M&A and partnership projects in a cross-functional, time-sensitive environment.
    • Manage milestones and timelines, identify dependencies, and deliver progress reports.
    • Routinely identify, assess, and develop mitigation plans for events that could impact the success of the project.
    • Communicate project progress through a variety of mediums leading status meetings, status reports, ad-hoc communications, and developing project presentations.
    • Ensure that information related to progress, and issues/risks are being communicated with the project teams, business owners, and sponsors.
    • Manage budgets - including initial estimation, tracking of actuals, and understanding variances.
    • Troubleshoot, and implement corrective action plans, when necessary for critical projects and initiatives deviating from plan.
    • Exhibit willingness to grow through on-the-job exposure and select professional development training.Qualifications & Critical Skills:
      • Bachelor's degree in a business, technology, or scientific field.
      • Minimum of 3 years' post-graduate experience in, or performing the equivalent duties of, a PM role.
      • Master's degree is a plus (MBA, MS).
      • Leadership - demonstrates a bias for action and is execution-oriented.
      • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
      • Attention to detail - ability to work with a large amount of content and ability to consolidate and simplify to drive clarity.
      • Experience leading diverse, global, cross-functional teams, with demonstrated multicultural awareness.
      • Experience with proactive project risk identification and management.
      • Tools - Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).The Nuts and BoltsLocation - This is an "in-office" position approximately 50% of the time at our HQ office in Boulder, Colorado with the other 50% work from home. These percentages are estimates with the actual schedule to be determined dynamically as needed to support business priorities. We will evaluate external equity, which is the relative marketplace job worth of jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.For new hires, we make competitive offers between the minimum and around the midpoint of the range. This allows the new employee room for future merit increases during review cycles. There may be times when we will offer above the midpoint. The decision to do so will be based on the applicant's level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills.
