OverviewThe Manager, Strategic Communications position will lead
management of Editorial and Marketing priorities in collaboration
with the Director of Strategic Communications to support the Clean
Energy Buyers Association aspiration of a 90% carbon-free
electricity system by 2030. As a member of the Strategic
Communications team, this individual will advise on, develop, and
implement integrated marketing and editorial management strategies
to build brand awareness, influence target audiences, and create
member value. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience
in driving revenue growth in a cross-functional environment,
project management of a robust product portfolio, and people
management.Core Responsibilities:
- Manage editorial calendar for CEBA and CEBI resources,
including case studies, educational materials, white papers,
reports, and roadmaps.
- Lead data-driven analysis to determine impact of products and
advise on content strategy to optimize outcomes toward
organizational goals.
- Execute implementation of editorial standards and guidelines
across all products in collaboration with program staff.
- Develop collateral to support organizational communications,
including press releases, stakeholder outreach, marketing assets,
and web copy.
- Independently develop integrated marketing strategy to drive
revenue growth through brand awareness, member recruitment, and
fundraising.
- Lead short and long-term marketing campaigns to bolster CEBA
member engagement while identifying opportunities to improve
efficacy.
- Implement consistent project management approach for all
editorial and marketing activities, including prioritization based
on program goals, timeline development, identification of strategic
opportunities, coordination with consultants, and budget
management.
- Oversight of staff leading execution of editorial and marketing
priorities.
- Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Master's degree and
7+ years' experience or equivalent professional experience will be
considered Additional:
- Marketing, editorial, or overarching strategic communications
experience, preferably with a trade association, agency, government
office, clean energy company or corporation. Clean energy industry
experience strongly preferred.
- Strong organization, program, and time management skills with a
demonstrated ability to meet milestones, advise on risks, and
engage staff.
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with the
ability to lead development of instructional and persuasive content
at multiple levels.
- Advanced understanding of marketing landscape and data-driven
strategies and tactics to inform organizational growth and brand
awareness.
- Demonstrated experience building, mentoring, and managing
teams.
- Ability to generate original solutions to improve collaboration
and efficiencies through editorial and marketing management.
- Excellent executive stakeholder management skills.
- Comfort with leading and facilitating group discussions
effectively with different levels and functions in the
organization.
