Job Description:
ACIS accredits, supports, and advances the interests of Colorado
independent schools. The Admissions Director guides families
through the admission process and enrollment at the school.
Additionally, the Admissions Director works in collaboration with
other members of the Advancement Committee to seek opportunities to
promote the school, its programs and Waldorf Education. This
position is responsible for student enrollment across the school -
prekindergarten through 12th grade. The Admissions Director
promotes the school and Waldorf Education through leading school
tours, attending school fairs and other related off campus events,
holding open house events on campus, and looking for opportunities
to introduce the school and its programs to the greater Boulder
community. Other tasks include: tracking enrollment trends
internally and externally to inform the admissions process of the
school over time; overseeing the school's Welcome Committee to
ensure new families integrate easily and well into the school
community to increase retention. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities Primary contact to manage the admissions process
from inquiry through enrollment with interested families Share
Waldorf Education with aligned families and increase classroom
enrollment Lead family campus tours and answer questions related to
Shining Mountain Waldorf School's history, future, and commitment
to Waldorf Education Work collaboratively with the Pedagogical
Director, High School Director, and Faculty to support and manage
the admissions process Work closely with the Business Office and
Registrar regarding enrollment contracts and processes Seek
opportunities to introduce the school and its programs to the
greater Boulder community Organize, utilize, and bring awareness to
data in school database in order to inform enrollment/retention
strategy, marketing, and outreach Maintain data tracking
spreadsheets of the school Attend school fairs and other off campus
events to promote the school, its programs, and Waldorf Education
Hold Open House events to showcase Faculty, curriculum, campus, and
community Collaborate with the Advancement Committee to promote the
school, its programs, and Waldorf Education Arrange the Essentials
of Waldorf Education Fall and Spring presentations Arrange the New
Parent Tea at the start of the school year Arrange the Rising First
Grade and Sixth Grade Parent Welcome Evenings Additional
Responsibilities Participate as a member of the Advancement
Committee In accordance with SMWS philosophy and collegial support,
the person filling this position may occasionally be asked to carry
out or assist with other tasks as requested. Education and
Qualifications / Regulations Bachelor's Degree preferred Sales and
marketing experience Strong data management, database utility, and
tracking/reporting skills Work Setting General office environment
Walk and share the SMWS campus with interested families Occasional
weekend and evening hours Salary, Hours and Benefits Full time,
salary position (exempt) Salary range of $55,000 to $60,000 (based
on experience) Optimum hours during school hours - Monday through
Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Year-round administrative position
