Global Director, Human Resources (Operations) North America-North America-United States-CO-Loveland The Role: The Global Director Human Resources will partner with the Vice President of Global Operations across multiple sites and geographies. The primary focus will be the delivery of a broad range of HR services including implementing strategies and programs that enhance the effectiveness and capability of the organization in the areas of talent management, organizational development, performance management, engagement and change management. A secondary component of the role will be to take a leadership role with strategic projects in support of the Operations Footprint strategy, that could include partnering with colleagues in the Water Quality Platform Group or across the Danaher enterprise. The Global Director HR will optimize relationships of associates, managers and operating company leadership; linking human resources strategies to business objectives: ensuring compliance with all labor laws; counseling and advising management on a variety of topics related to talent and driving business growth. Driving excellence across Hach through effective problem solving and the use of DBS tools is critical to success. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: * Act as HR Strategist, change agent and implementation advisor * Drives and manages Workforce Planning and Headcount management * Provides consultation on Engagement & Retention of associates * Drives and manages Performance Management processes including coaching leaders on tough conversations, co-creating performance improvement plans and ensuring leaders are following through with the annual process. * Consults with clients on internal movement decisions; transfers, promotions, job enhancements and ensures decisions are in line with company policy and leveling guides. * Partners with client group to effectively acquire professional/management and possibly leadership level talent for assigned client group. * Conduct Employee Relations investigations and consult with managers and legal counsel on outcomes and next steps. * Facilitate leadership training and development programs. * Delivers change management consultation to business leaders * Reports monthly metrics to HR leadership and drives to ensure that countermeasures are in place when not hitting targets. * Consults with leaders on talent management and organizational design challenges. * Experience of working in a high performance/ metrics driven culture * Capability of managing complex and cross-functional initiatives, processes, or projects * In-depth knowledge of Operations footprint strategies from plant consolidation to setting up new facilities * Familiarity in working across multiple countries/cultures * Exposure to and comfort with higher management * University education with an average of 10+ years of relevant HR experience * Solid and sophisticated skills in: consulting, contracting, mediating, negotiating, coaching * Experience in compensation, recruiting, employee relations, organizational development is preferred (ideal mix 2 or more areas) * Thorough and deep knowledge of the employee life cycle * Experience in leading or contributing to small / medium scale re-orgs, org alignment, work-force planning efforts * Fluent in English (written and verbal) Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
