This unique business model is why many of our employees come and stay!SUMMARY - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):BMC is currently seeking experienced and new graduate, LPNs for a variety of departments, including: Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Urology, OB/GYN, and many others! This position will work Monday - Friday, generally from 8 am - 5 pm.Job Duties:Supports the provider in a variety of patient care duties and performs related clerical duties in accordance with the area assignedRooms patients, collects vitals and records all medical information in the patient's EMRPrepares exam rooms for provider's use, collects specimens, administers and documents all prescribed, OTC medication and drug samples per protocolsPerforms routine and special nursing procedures per the provider's order.Teaches nursing procedures to patients and their families regarding specific out-patient medical care as neededMaintains equipment and medical suppliesPerforms administrative/clerical duties such as filing, phone calls, and faxingExperience and SkillsSkills and Abilities: Must have a broad knowledge base of general nursing practice as well as knowledge of acute practice based on needs of specialty area.Must be able to recognize and identify patient's symptoms and use appropriate professional judgment within scope of practiceStrong computer skills w/ability to record information accurately and timelyGood time management and history-taking skillsGood communication skills w/ability to relate well with patients, providers and staffAble to demonstrate self-direction in establishing prioritiesRequirementsGraduate of an accredited nursing program.
