Clinic Triage RN
Full Time, weekdays. 40 hours/week.#$5,000 Sign-On Bonus Available!
bonus available for current BCH staff. Pay Range is between
$29.48-$44.21/hr, depending on years of relevant and like

community. POSITION SUMMARY The Clinic Triage RN assists in patient
care surrounding triage calls for Primary Care Clinics (Centralized
Physicians Clinics). JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education or Formal
Training BSN Preferred Special Qualifications (Licensure,
Registration, etc.) Colorado RN license in good standing BLS (Basic
Life Support) certification required by end of conditional period
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Knowledge of professional nursing
theory and scope of practice to assess patient needs and administer
and evaluate patient care Knowledge of human growth and development
to inform and guide interaction with and care for patients ages
newborn to geriatric Knowledge of organizational policies,
procedures, and systems to administer patient care Knowledge of
CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments), OSHA
(Occupational Safety and Health Administration), Joint Commission
regulations, and corporate compliance program Knowledge of common
safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures
Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer
patient care Skill in using the nursing process to assess, plan,
implement and evaluate interaction with and care for patients ages
newborn to geriatric Skill in maintaining the principles and
applying and modifying methods and techniques of professional
nursing to provide ongoing care to all patients Skill in
identifying problems and recommending solutions Skill in taking
vital signs Skill in administering and assisting with a variety of
treatments and medications as directed Skill in maintaining patient
records by careful documentation and recording of test results
Skill in developing and maintaining chronic disease management and
quality improvement initiatives Skill in developing and maintaining
department quality improvements Skill in working effectively with
patients and their representatives, managers, staff, physicians,
other hospital departments, outside agencies, and the public
Ability to comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions
Ability to communicate clearly Ability to maintain quality control
standards Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency
situations Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply written
guidelines and procedures to standard work practices Knowledge of,
or experience in, Joint Commission ambulatory standards and/or
hospital standards applicable to the ambulatory setting Experience
Five years of RN clinical experience, preferably at least 2 years
in the in-patient setting preferred. Critical Care a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Electronic Medical Record
auditing including, but not limited to, order management, tasking
and messaging, appointment recall, and inbound result bucket
management to ensure efficiency and patient safety Telephone triage
calls Consistent and on-time attendance is an essential function of
the position. Performs select nursing duties for patient ages adult
to geriatric, as well as select administrative duties Provides
patient instruction Screens telephone calls for triage/referral in
consultation with physician as appropriate and documents activity.
Maintains patient files, records, and other information. Maintains
