Registered Nurse - Surgery# Full Time, Days. 40 hours/week,
11am-9pm or 7am-5pm.#Peri-Operative OR/RN Training Program Pay
Range is between $31.68-$47.52/hr, depending on years of relevant
and like experience. +$2.50/hr for evening and weekend shifts.#

Opportunity to Become a Surgical RN! The peri-op program is
designed to teach interested RN#s the concepts and functions of
Peri-operative Nursing.# The program is 10-12 weeks of didactic
learning with clinical rotation, followed by 3-4 months of
orientation with an experienced OR RN applying the knowledge
learned. Training period is approximately four months. Requires a
two-year commitment after the training is completed and successful.
The shift after training will be on the evening shift. After
training, a 1/2-hour response time for call will be required.
Further requirements will be discussed in an interview. POSITION
SUMMARY Responsible for the general wellbeing of the patient during
the peri-operative period, acts as the patient#s advocate and works
as a member of the surgical team, is knowledgeable in the areas of
aseptic technique, infection control, emergency procedures, and
general operating room procedures. #Works with highly technical,
ever-changing equipment. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Special Qualifications
(Licensure, Registration, etc.) Colorado RN license in good
standing BLS certification required within conditional period.
Member of professional organization and CNOR preferred Knowledge,
Skill and Ability Clinical competency with routine surgical skills
in circulating with scrubbing preferred Demonstrates assessment and
response to changes in the patient#s condition (basic understanding
and integration of patient care and practice) Communicates clearly
on all aspects of documentation Must be flexible to rotate shifts
and adjust hours as needed Able to assess, treat and/or care for
patients of all ages Demonstrates knowledge of preparation,
maintenance, cleaning and usage of equipment Prepares specimens and
lab forms for laboratory analysis Experience Minimum of one year OR
circulating experience and scrub experience preferred ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and implements a teaching plan
based on identified patient and family needs. Continues to expand
knowledge base through clinical practice and self-directed
learning, identifying own strengths and weaknesses. Sets priorities
utilizing effective time management when delivering patient care
with completion of responsibility. May be required to perform point
of care testing.# May be a point of care trainer. Provides
constructive input to problem-solving in both patient and unit
situations. Consults with and/or advises appropriate personnel of
situations requiring follow-up or attention. Provides
cost-effective quality care. Responsible for monitoring specific
supplies and equipment in service. Function as preceptor for
