Job Description:
Full time, Days. 36 hours/week. Pay Range is between $17.00 -
$23.58/hr, depending on years of relevant and like experience.
Those that do not possess a CNA, EMT, LPN, or MA
License/Certification will be paid at a flat rate of $17.00/hr.

positively contribute to the community. POSITION SUMMARY Performs
duties that assist the caregivers and promotes effective
departmental functioning. Direct patient care functions are under
the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN). JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education or Formal Training + High school diploma or equivalent
preferred. Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.) +
CNA certification or equivalent certification is preferred.
Equivalent certifications include: EMT, MA, Military Medic or
completion of 1st year of nursing core classes (not prerequisites
for nursing school). CNA or equivalent certifications or Nursing
core classes required for employees in 5046 job title. + BLS
certification required within conditional period. Knowledge, Skill
and Ability + Basic knowledge of asepsis and universal precautions
+ Basic knowledge of frequently used medical terminologies +
Physical and mental stamina to perform job duties + Able to take
directions from multiple staff and demonstrate the ability to set
priorities Experience Hospital or other health care experience
preferred. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains Safe &
Pleasant Environment+ + Places call light within reach of patient.
+ Places be in low position with brake on after making bed (unless
post-op bed). + Maintains siderails in up position as indicated. +
Assists in preparation of patient rooms and admission and
transfers. + Orients patient to use of bed, call light, television,
and telephone. + Tidies patient rooms and over bed tables by
removing used and unneeded items. + Assists in stocking supplies as
needed. + Removes trash and dirty linens as needed. Meals and
Nourishment+ + Distributes drinking water and snacks to patients. +
Maintains supply of cups in patient rooms and/or at patient
bedside. + Distributes and picks up trays in timely fashion. +
Assists in setting up meal trays and feeds appropriate patients. +
Positions patients as needed for meals. + Records intake as
delegated by nurse. + Follows patient fluid restrictions and
calorie count orders as delegated by nurse. + Assures patients
receive correct meal selections in accordance with provider orders.
Patient Care (under direction of a nurse)+ + Answers patient call
lights and performs appropriate follow-up in a timely manner. +
Performs morning and evening ADLs (oral care, bathing, etc.). +
Assists staff with repositioning and patient mobility. +
Independently mobilizes patients. + Empties foley catheters,
urinals, bedpans, commodes, urine hats and drains. + Assists
patients to and from the bedside commode or bathroom. + Takes vital
signs accurately and timely and reports to appropriate staff in a
