RN Clinical Team Lead - Oncology / UroFull Time, Nights. 36 hours/week. Pay Range is between $42.84-$60.27/hr, depending on years of relevant and like experience. POSITION SUMMARY Promoting patient safety, patient centered and relationship-based care, a health work environment, and honoring our mission are key responsibilities. The CTL is a department leader, mentor, and role model. Is responsible for the department in the absence of the Manager and/or Director.# The CTL is responsible for unit operations when assigned the charge role.# The CTL is responsible to both the unit and the unit#s role in the overall hospital operations and flow.# Represents the staff through growth, change, and problem resolution.# Provides appropriate action, follow-through and closure to any situation affecting the unit in which she/he is involved.# Takes responsibility for assigned unit projects.# Interacts in a respectful manner, considerate of age and physical abilities, and provides assistance to individuals in a manner that takes into account their special needs or age-related needs. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.) Colorado RN license in good standing Certifications required based on department RN job description. Knowledge, Skill and Ability Demonstrates physical and mental ability to apply nursing and management theories, procedure and standards to clinical practice. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Promotes an environment of caring Demonstrates clear appropriate delegation Demonstrates ability to problem solve and think critically Promotes a philosophy inclusive of mentoring and coaching (Just Culture) Experience Minimum of 6 months of RN experience. Must have 6 months of nursing experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises and coordinates shift operations to include early discharge, timely admissions, staffing, assignments, planning for pending admits. #Evidenced by meeting hospital and unit metrics. Staffing and assignments meet unit HPPD (productivity measure) and balance acuity, experience and ability throughout shift. Adheres to regulatory, human resource and employee health regulations. Leads huddles relaying key patient safety and practice changes each shift. Articulates patient safety issues related to flow, admissions, staffing to the ARN.# Negotiates and compromises to meet both unit and hospital wide demand.# The ARN will have final decision making if conflict. Maintains RN competency. Promotes relationship-based care with a focus on patient safety, quality care, and service excellence. Consistent communication, a healthy, calm work environment, and staff feeling supported and heard are key intentions for every shift.# As a supervisor, supports management and provides staff with accurate information.# Keeps up to date on email communications.# Escalates concerns to manager. Supports patient safety house wide by improving patient flow, positive relationships with other departments, and creating trust.# Change champion:# Promotes and adheres to evidence-based practice, new practice and patient care standards, and quality initiatives. Leads by demonstrating professionalism and nursing practice we expect of our staff.# Follow chain of communication guiding document for escalation of issues, concerns and quality issues.
