Lead Clinical Assistant
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303
$21.21 - $28.69 an hour - Full-time, Days. 40 Hours a week.
Boulder Community health is seeking a Lead Clinical Assistant that
is responsible for maintaining the highest quality of service and
smooth operation of physicians clinics within CU Sports Medicine
and Performance Center. Clinic duties include, overseeing the
physician pod clinic support staff schedules, procedures,
protocols, essential duties within scope of practice for all
clinical pod support staff.

Qualifications
--- Must have a minimum of a BS degree in a health related field
for athletic training.
OR
Graduate from a Medical Assistant program or pass a national
Medical Assistant Certification exam, or equivalent combination of
clinical experience and certification.
--- BLS certification by the end of the conditional period
required.
--- State of Colorado Licensure for Athletic Training (if
applicable).
Responsibilities
--- Manages Physician Support Team; ATC/Clinical Assistant and
Medical Assistant schedule
--- Assists in the Annual Review process for other ATC/Clinical
Assistants and Medical Assistants
--- Assists in timekeeping system (API) for all medical assistants
and ATC/Clinical Assistants.
--- Trains Medical Assistants and ATC/Clinical Assistants in office
protocol and procedure and updates protocol/procedures as
needed.
--- Directs patients to appropriate treatment room, performs
appropriate patient intake depending on the patient's
practitioner.
--- Provides patient teaching when appropriate.
--- Assists physicians and PT staff with patient treatment as
appropriate, within scope of their practice.
--- Assist with implementation of physicians orders (i.e., schedule
x-rays, prep for injections, removal of sutures, taking of vital
signs, etc.)
--- Orders and maintains medical supplies.
--- Establishes protocol for the physician pod support team to
prepare and maintain clinic patient care areas and utility areas
for safe use. Patient care areas include: examination rooms and
cast room. Utility rooms include: whirlpool room, supply areas,
lab, and refrigerators.
