potential! Job Summary and Qualifications The NICU dietitian
functions within the multidisciplinary team to provide nutritional
care for all infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This
includes nutrition assessment and intervention, education of staff
and families, development of policies and procedures, participation
in data collection projects, and serving as a consultant to the
entire healthcare team. When need arises, will perform other duties
as assigned by supervisor.This position requires knowledge of
growth and developmental needs of patients and families. Personnel
in this position must recognize and respond to the behaviors of
patients and families in each age category. The employee must be
able to demonstrate the special skills required to care for
patients and their families according to standards. (The skills and
knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through
education, training or experience.) What qualifications you will
need:
- Bachelors Degree
- Licensed Dietician, or ADA Registered Dietitian, or Commission
Dietetic Registration
- BLS preferred
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a NICU preferred
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand EnglishHCA
