registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. A healthcare professional is needed to provide
one-on-one nursing support to a first-grade student at an
elementary school in Boulder, CO. This contract opportunity runs
through the current school year with potential extensions into
extended and next school years based on performance.
Responsibilities include: - Performing oral suctioning as required;
tracheostomy suctioning is infrequent and only necessary under
specific conditions, requiring saline nebulizer and cough assist
procedures. - Regularly repositioning the student at least every
two hours, utilizing various positioning methods beyond a power
wheelchair. - Managing diaper changes multiple times throughout the
school day. - Administering tube feeding during breakfast and
lunch, each feeding lasting approximately one hour, during which
the student can engage in other activities. - Providing water bolus
feedings about five times daily via syringe, adaptable to the
student's current position. Qualifications and experience: - Active
Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory. - Prior experience in
school nursing or pediatric nursing is highly desirable. - Ability
to work collaboratively with educational staff and adhere to
individualized care plans. - Skill in managing complex feeding and
respiratory care needs within a school environment. Schedule and
location: - Position is located onsite at an elementary school in
Boulder, CO. - Commitment of 30 hours per week during the school
calendar year. This role offers the chance to deliver impactful
nursing care supporting a students educational experience in a
