Job Description:

UCHealth invites qualified RN applicants to join our team in the Burn Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at our advanced facility in Colorado. This position offers the unique opportunity to work within a specialized unit dedicated to high standards of care for patients with severe burn injuries. Nurses in this role will leverage their specialized knowledge and skills to support patient recovery, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to continuous improvement in patient care practices. Provide comprehensive care and monitoring for patients with severe burn injuries. Administer medications, wound care, and numerous non-invasive and invasive treatments. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Educate patients and their families on burn injury management and recovery processes. Participate in research and continual education to improve the care and outcomes for burn patients. Advanced knowledge of burn care and wound management Proficiency in the use of medical software and electronic health records Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN license valid in the state of Colorado BLS/CPR Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Certification in burn nursing (optional but preferred)
