Job Description:
UCHealth invites qualified candidates to apply for the position
of Registered Nurse (RN) for our Short Stay unit during nighttime
operations. This crucial role supports our mission of delivering
the highest quality patient-centric care in our state-of-the-art
healthcare facilities across Colorado. The ideal candidate will be
compassionate, detailed-oriented, and committed to fostering a
supportive environment for patients undergoing short-term
treatments. This position requires adept skills in patient
assessment, efficient care delivery, and the ability to work
comfortably overnight to ensure the continuity of patient care.
Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate
nursing care plans. Implement nursing care to patients in a short
stay environment and monitor outcomes. Maintain accurate patient
records and administer medications as prescribed. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams to ensure the comprehensive care and
optimization of patient health. Educate patients and their families
on post-treatment home care needs. Ensure adherence to hospital
protocols and nursing best practices to minimize risks and maximise
patient outcomes. Provide emotional support and coping mechanisms
to patients during their short stay. Strong clinical skills with a
focus on surgical and medical nursing. Ability to perform detailed
assessments and develop patient care plans. Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using medical software and
electronic health records. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the state of Colorado. BLS/CPR certification
required.
