Job Description:

UCHealth is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Special Procedures to join our innovative healthcare team. This position requires specialized knowledge in both nursing and the specific procedures prevalent in a hospital setting. The successful candidate will be integral in performing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with state-of-the-art equipment, assisting in critical care situations, and offering personalized patient-centered care consistent with our mission and values. Administer and monitor patient health during special procedures. Operate and understand advanced medical equipment necessary for specific procedures. Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions. Maintain accurate patient records and document all activities during procedures. Ensure all health, safety, and infection control standards are met. Assist in the training and development of new staff or nursing students. Strong clinical skills in a special procedures environment Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems Ability to work effectively in high pressure situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with strong observational skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado BLS Certification required ACLS certification preferred Certification in vascular, cardiac, or radiologic procedures is advantageous
