Full-time or Part-time permanent position This role combines both
outpatient clinical care and surgical responsibilities, offering a
unique opportunity to provide comprehensive eye care to a diverse
and underserved population. The ideal candidate will be committed
to clinical excellence, surgical precision, and making a lasting
impact in a rural health setting. Preferred Experience: Proficiency
in cataract surgery (phacoemulsification) and common anterior
segment procedures. Ability to manage a full-spectrum ophthalmology
caseload independently. Experience in or willingness to work in a
rural or medically underserved setting. Excellent communication
skills and a collaborative, team-based approach. Interest in
mentoring or training staff or students Perform comprehensive
ophthalmologic exams and provide diagnosis and management of eye
diseases and visual disorders. Conduct surgical procedures,
including (but not limited to) cataract extraction, eyelid
surgeries, laser treatments, and other anterior segment surgeries.
Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients.
Provide routine and urgent care for conditions such as glaucoma,
diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and trauma-related
ocular injuries. Compensation & Benefits: Base salary $246,000 -
$650,000 Hospital employed status (not-for-profit hospital)
Negotiable salary; guaranteed base with incentive package Benefits
include occurrence malpractice, individual and family health care
insurance, CME/professional dues, paid time off, disability
