UCHealth is seeking a passionate and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team as a nighttime traveler across our Colorado-based facilities. This position offers you the unique opportunity to provide critical respiratory care and life support to neonates while being part of a leading nonprofit healthcare system known for its advanced medical services and patient-centered care. This role requires adaptability to different hospital settings, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a strong commitment to health, recovery, and the welfare of newborns. Provide respiratory care and support including ventilation management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medication administration for neonates. Assess patient conditions and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Document patient care services and collaborate with healthcare teams to adjust interventions. Engage in patient and family education on respiratory care practices. Ensure all healthcare standards, cleanliness, and safety protocols are strictly followed. Travel between hospitals within the UCHealth system as required. Proficiency in NICU respiratory care techniques Expertise in the use of respiratory equipment (e.g., ventilators, CPAP machines) Ability to perform under pressure in a critical care environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Adaptable to varying hospital settings and shifts Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential BLS/CPR certification Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) provider
