Job Description:
HCA Healthcare is actively seeking a dedicated Nurse Extern
Float Pool to join our team, delivering high-quality,
patient-centered medical care across various departments. This role
offers the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in
multiple specialties, providing a broad exposure to the healthcare
field. While directly supporting the nursing staff, the Nurse
Extern will assist in the delivery of care under the supervision of
registered nurses, helping to meet patient needs and ensuring the
highest standard of safety and effectiveness. Support registered
nurses and medical staff in providing comprehensive patient care
Assist with patient assessments and monitoring vital signs Help
manage patient documentation and updates to electronic health
records Prepare and administer medications as directed by a
supervisor Provide direct patient care, including bathing,
dressing, and feeding Observe and report any changes in patient
conditions Adhere to all facility health and safety policies and
procedures Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to
work in a fast-paced environment Critical thinking and
problem-solving abilities Knowledge of healthcare safety protocols
and procedures Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Health
Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training
