Job Description:
UCHealth is dedicated to providing excellent care and advancing
the health sciences in Colorado. We are currently seeking a
compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for night shifts. This role is crucial
in managing the care of patients with complex medical conditions.
Our ideal candidate is someone with experience in a progressive
care or critical care environment, passionate about
patient-centered care, and driven by a commitment to improve
wellbeing and patient outcomes. Provide and coordinate care for
patients in the Medical Progressive Care Unit. Monitor patient
conditions and assess their needs to provide the best possible care
and advice. Observe and interpret patient vital signs and
administer interventions as required. Collaborate with physicians
and multidisciplinary team members. Maintain complete and accurate
patient records. Educate patients and their families on disease
prevention and health maintenance. Provide emotional support and
act as the patient advocate. Participate in continuing education
and in-service training to stay current with best practices.
Proficiency in electronic health record systems Advanced Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS) certification Strong communication and
interpersonal skills Capacity to make quick and accurate
assessments of patient conditions Efficient multitasking and
prioritization abilities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN license valid in the state
of Colorado Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
