Job Description:
UCHealth, a leader in patient-centered care, is seeking a
dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a fellowship
in our Surgical Progressive Care Unit (SPCU) during night shifts.
This specialized program is designed to advance your nursing skills
and knowledge in a supportive, fast-paced environment at our
state-of-the-art facilities across Colorado. As part of our team,
you will play a vital role in managing the care of surgical
patients with complex conditions, focusing on providing the highest
level of service and clinical outcomes. Provide direct nursing care
to surgical patients in a progressive care setting. Assess, plan,
implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with
the healthcare team. Monitor patient status and respond to complex
care needs. Administer medications and maintain detailed
documentation of patient care. Educate patients and families on
disease processes, surgical procedures, and ongoing care needs.
Support a multidisciplinary team approach to expedite optimal
patient outcomes. Participate in continuous educational and
professional development activities pertinent to the SPCU. Strong
clinical skills with a focus on surgical care and acute patient
management. Ability to work effectively in a high-intensity
environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Competence in using healthcare software and patient management
systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the
state of Colorado. BLS Certification; ACLS preferred.
