The end client is unable to sponsor or transfer visas for this position; all parties authorized to work in the US without sponsorship are encouraged to apply.An American Company is seeking an Magento Software Engineer in Boulder, CO.Role DescriptionThe Senior Magento Developer 2 will be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of pictureframes.com website built in Magento 2 and hosted on Magento Cloud. Responsibilities will include development of ecommerce features and interfaces between the platform and the fulfillment and information systems used by the business. Add code for new features and functions to core applications Be the primary point person for our Magento properties Ensure code quality with extensive testing and version control Analyze and identify code problems; debug code as required Maintain base of existing web-based services and applications Partner with internal and external marketing, creative, and technical talentSkills & RequirementsEDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING: 5 BS Degree, or equivalent experience, preferably in Software Engineering, Computer Science or other related fields 3 years minimum in software development roleREQUIRED REQUIREMENTS: Significant practical, provable experience in object-oriented design and programming using Magento Experience in one or more of PHP 7, Kotlin, Java, C++, C#, or similar current object-oriented languages Experience using, developing, and deploying on Linux, including scripting using bash, PERL, Python, etc. Basic SQL and fundamentals of relational database design Experience with version control / source code management systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment Strong work ethic supported by solid time-management skillsPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Must understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in both work situations. Must be approachable and responsive to a variety of people and issues. Must be adaptable and flexible in dealing with other departmental team members Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Ability to solving practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form.
