Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to support our Missile Defense Solutions group, at our Boulder, CO location.Job Duties:
  • As a member of the Development Team you will be responsible for delivering a potentially releasable product at the end of each Sprint.
  • The Product Development Team is cross-functional and includes all personnel with the skills necessary to complete development of the product.
  • The Product Development Team may consist of developers, testers, a systems engineer, a user experience (UX) specialist, configuration management, a database administrator, information assurance/security specialist and anyone else needed to complete each backlog item.
  • The responsibility of selecting the work commitment for each Sprint, product development, testing the product with users and ensuring quality of the product belongs to the entire Product Development Team.
  • The Product Development Team must be self-organizing and self-led, guided by the scope of the stories and the definition of done.
  • It is the responsibility of the management team to ensure the environment meets the needs of the Product Development Team so they can manage and complete their work.
  • You will design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
  • Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; Ensures software standards are met.
  • Ensure Agile SAFe 5.0 process is followed.Basic Qualifications:
    • Experience with Linux
    • C/C++, Python, Java development experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related discipline
    • 5 years of related experience; 3 years of related experience with a Masters
    • DoD Top Secret clearance that is or has been active within the last two years

      Salary Range: 101200 - 151800

      Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
