The Software Development & Test (SWDT) team at Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSS) is looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineer based out of Boulder, CO. Alternate locations of Redondo Beach, CA and Azusa, CA considered.What You'll get to Do: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with other teams (Integration & Verification, etc.) in the planning, design, development, and utilization of data processing systems for products solving our customer requirements.This position may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3 based on skills/qualifications.Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related degree with 5 years software development experience; 3 years with Masters; 0 years with PhD; or 9 years of related experience in lieu of degree- Active DoD Secret Clearance- Knowledge of C/C++ and LinuxBasic Qualifications for a Level 4:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related degree with 9 years software development experience; 7 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD; or 13 years of related experience in lieu of degree- Active DoD Secret Clearance- Experience with C/C++ and LinuxPreferred Qualifications:- Top Secret/SCI clearance- Shell scripting experience- Java development- Agile development experience- Configuration management for software, e.g. GIT- Full software development lifecycle experience- Software peer review process- Software development environment experience- Experience working in teams to develop SW and troubleshoot SW to find/fix defects- Experience in the development of User Interface, process control, and/or algorithms- Knowledge of the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and/or SBIRS architecture a bonus- Willingness to support requirement development and decomposition- Experience working with remote teamsSalary Range: $82,400 USD - $123,600 USD Salary Range 2: $101,400 USD - $152,200 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
