Job Description:
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident, able to obtain a
Public Trust @Orchard LLC has an exciting opportunity for an
experienced Linus Systems Administrator to be located on-site in
Boulder, CO supporting the Office of the CIO for a large Federal
Civilian Agency. This role will need to clear a Public Trust
investigation and you will need to be a US citizen or Permanent
Resident. As the Linux Systems Administrator, you will provide
support to three data centers, providing both classified and
unclassified enterprise networks. The on-premises data centers are
100% virtualized, leveraging VMware, and vSphere hypervisors
managed by VMware vCenter. The environment supports both Azure and
Amazon cloud environments, and the Linus servers are predominantly
Red Hat Enterprise Linus (RHEL) Operating Systems. Duties may
include: Providing support for hardware problems and remaining
issues involved in the resolution process. Configuring and managing
LINUX operating system and installs. Leveraging Red Hat Satellite
to manage RHEL licensing, package repositories, and provision new
virtual machines. Leveraging Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
for configuration and baseline management across all Linux systems
throughout the Enterprise. Creating bash shell scripts to aid in
system stability and deployment repeatability. Managing the daily
activities of configuration and operation of IT systems. Providing
problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
Ensuring security baselines (DISA STIG) are applied and security
vulnerabilities mitigated with patches or compensating controls.
Optimizing system operations and resource utilization and
performing system capacity analysis and planning. Providing
detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal customers
for escalated tickets. Loading operating system software,
troubleshoots, maintaining the integrity, and configuring network
components Skills and Experience: Required: A Minimum of 4 years of
experience as a Linus Systems Administrator in a similar
environment. Able to work occasional weekends and evenings when
necessitated, but primarily a standard 40-hour week will be the
