Our domain provides rewarding work that contributes to the latest advancements being made in the missile defense industry. The position is located in Boulder, CO - Boulder is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and only 25 miles from downtown Denver.Essential Functions:Performance analysis of tracking and state estimation algorithmsTool and prototype development using C/C++ and PythonAlgorithm defect tracking and resolutionThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.Basic Qualifications for Level 2 or 3:Software Engineer (Level 2): Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline.Principal Software Engineer (Level 3): Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years experience, or a PhD.Linux exposureC/C++ - 2 years development experienceAlgorithm design and state estimation experienceData analysis - Population statistics and trend identificationBridge between theoretical concepts and practical implementationApplicants must have an active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance which is required to start; with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Strong statistical background and skillsExperience in tracking and prediction algorithms, simulation, and validationExperience in the numerical implementation of motion filters.Familiarity with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and Electro-Optical Infrared (EOIR) sensors and simulations is a plusExperience with PERL, STK, or logging and parsing toolsSalary Range: $85,000 USD - $127,400 USDSalary Range 2: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
