Amazon Advertising is positioned to grow its share of the online
advertising industry due to its unique combination of online retail
behavior data, industry-leading cloud services, and a fast-moving
Privacy and Customer Trust are of paramount important to us as
we continue to innovate and grow our advertising business. The
emergence of a wave of Privacy regulation (eg. GDPR, California
Consumer Privacy Act etc.) has brought rigor and structure to
managing privacy and has opened up opportunities in this space.
The Advertising Privacy Team takes ownership for Privacy and
Customer Trust across Amazon's Advertising business and is looking
for a seasoned Leader to contribute to our ongoing efforts.
You will lead high-impact, cross-team Privacy oriented
initiatives across Amazon - within Advertising and beyond.
You will be a dedicated Privacy Partner for a specific line of
business, including supporting advertising 3rd party partners. At
Amazon’s scale, mixing privacy, product and program management to
build better ad products is a challenge with no end to upward
mobility and impact.
As proof of your impact, you will work with product and
engineering teams from initiation to deployment, will be
responsible for privacy compliance, interfacing with Public
Relations, Legal, Public Policy and external parties in relation to
Privacy and also driving programs to achieve compliance with new
and emerging privacy regulation.
You are a hybrid - someone who combined user-focused product
management with cross-functional technical program management.
From a product manager standpoint, you can understand strategic
success metrics for various products and help apply privacy
sensibilities to balance product goals with customer trust. Having
a product-centric mindset so as to provide the user the full
benefit of our features while protecting their privacy is your
From a program manager standpoint, you can help drive execution
for a central team that supports multiple product teams. You are
able to quickly grasp system design, data flows and other technical
aspects of systems. You enjoy learning and contributing to aspects
about the business, legal, public relations or marketing side of a
product. You are an excellent translator between various part of
the business and the technical teams you work with.
Above all, you feel strongly about protecting customers. You may

technology, advertising or privacy related experience requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · 2+ years of experience with end to end
· 5+ years of technical product management, program management
or engineering experience
· Bachelor's Degree
· Experience contributing to engineering discussions around
technology decisions and strategy related to a product
· Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
· Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · Master's degree in a business or
technology discipline or related field
· 7+ years of experience in software development and full
· Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, ability to
use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
· Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
· Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing
for performance, scalability, and availability
· Familiarity with machine learning concepts and applications
Experience with web or eCommerce search or performance
