We're looking for a RF Engineer to join the Snap Lab team!What youll do:+ Design RF and electrical circuits and systems that lead to exciting hardware launches + Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and industrial design teams + Supervise and review layout for PCB, Flex, and rigid Flex designs + Develop test plans, perform RF validation and generate validation reports + Debug hardware issues, including baseband and RF circuits. + Design electrical and wireless prototypes for new product concepts + Author clear and comprehensive documentationKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:+ Ability to develop test and characterization systems to validate circuits, components, and electrical systems + Demonstrated ability to use common RF and electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power supplies + Familiarity with tools like Cadence Allegro, OrCAD Capture, Advanced Design Systems, and/or Matlab + Knowledge of wireless communication standards including WiFi, BT, BLE, GPS, 4G LTE, 5G, etc + Knowledge of layout strategies for desense and EMI minimization, signal integrity, and isolation + Ability to impedance match RF components and solder small components such as 0201s and 01005s + Thorough understanding of PCB design and associated constraints + Understanding of RF behavior and fundamentals including impedance matching, noise figure, mixing, linearity, and smith charts + Great interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across groups + Excellent process development and documentation skillsMinimum Qualifications:+ Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, digital communications, physics or related field or equivalent years of experience + 3+ years of experience in RF or electrical engineeringPreferred Qualifications:+ Advanced degree in a related technical field + Experience with the design and simulation of RF circuits and systems + Experience in RF design, cascaded RF system analysis, and component selection + Experience with hardware level board design including schematic capture and CAD layout + Experience designing systems that include high-speed digital interfaces such as MIPI CSI / DSI, PCIe, SDIO / eMMC, UFS, etc + Experience supporting factory builds + A passion for Snapchat and creativity For Colorado Based Applicants: + The Minimum target salary for this position is $120,000 + This position is eligible for a discretionary performance award + This position is eligible to receive ongoing equity grants.
