1.00 FTE - Regular Contract

Boulder High School: Founded in 1875 as part of the University of Colorado, Boulder High is the oldest established high school in Colorado. Students regularly access the University of Colorado, the Conference of World Affairs and cultural community activities.

Boulder High is an advanced placement focus school, with one of the most comprehensive programs in the state, offering 30 advanced placement courses.

Summary:

A BVSD teacher demonstrates a strong knowledge of the curriculum and content area while positively impacting student achievement through innovative instructional strategies and effectively managing the learning environment.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Currently hold a Colorado teaching license or have licensure application in process with appropriate endorsement in: Spanish (must upload license or in process documentation to application)
  • Completed and submitted BVSD online application

Preferred:

  • Experience in teaching Spanish
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Strong content knowledge and skills in Spanish language and literature
  • Expertise in language acquisition and second language learning

Salary Information:

  • Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.

  • Regular teachers requesting transfers to less than their current assignment would assume the contracted FTE of the accepted position.
