Quest Integrity, a global leader in inspection and engineering services, is seeking a Director of Pipeline Integrity who is a leader and industry expert within the Advanced Engineering group within Quest Integrity and supports the enterprise Asset Integrity and Digital (AID) group. The Director is responsible for leading the development of commercial and technical solutions for our Pipeline Industry Division. The position is responsible for Quest Integrity's global markets and includes general commercial management; recruiting, hiring, and training of personnel; financial results management; business development; project delivery, and service and product development. Quest Integrity's goal is to drive collaboration globally, both as it relates to building our Advanced Engineering and AID market share, commercial productivity, and client and industry influence, and as it relates to more integrated solutions for the Global Pipeline Industry Sector across business lines. LOCATION: This position is ideally located in our Boulder, Colorado or Sugar Land, TX facilities. Working remotely will be determined based on current CDC COVID-19 guidelines and the guidance of our HSE department. Continued remote working beyond this period may be negotiated based on experience and demonstrated success. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement an Advanced Engineering Pipeline Industry business strategy consistent with market trends and client demands while actively coordinating with the Key Stakeholders in Quest and AID to ensure global strategic consistency and to optimize engineering resource utilization. The business strategy should incorporate our key technical areas of fitness-for-service assessments, remaining life assessments, pipeline integrity management, and failure analysis. Develop annual and long-term business plans as part of the AE global strategy. Develop annual budget in conjunction with regional and business unit budgets and as part of global Pipeline AE budget to align resources and manage both regional and global revenue and profit targets. Identify and implement profit enhancement strategies focusing on engineering utilization targets and optimizing mix of routine and advanced engineering services. Identify opportunities to create integrated solutions (e.g., proprietary technology development and advanced technology applications) combining both Advanced Engineering services and AID services where applicable. Engage proactively with clients to identify and create new opportunities for Advanced Engineering services and provide leadership and support to colleagues in developing client relationships, resolving client challenges (technical and commercial), and securing new business opportunities. Align and engage with regional sales personnel, including participation in sales calls, regional meetings, and client visits to deliver technical presentations and secure Advanced Engineering opportunities. Recruit, develop, and manage personnel, with a focus on optimizing these resources' productivity and utilization, career fulfillment and retention, and business mix allocation between more standard/productized and more advanced/customized engineering services. Elevate industry visibility to showcase Quest Integrity's distinct capabilities and capacity within Pipeline Advanced Engineering and present our capabilities at conferences and seminars. Identify and implement best practices and quality control standards for services and products consistency, report content and deliverables, and client communication. Ensure written communication is technically, numerically, and grammatically correct and clearly communicates problem statements, methodology and conclusions. Check and approve technical reports for Pipeline Integrity services as well as other reports within area of expertise, as needed. Be responsible for mentorship, goal setting and review of performance of direct reports. Provide input to performance reviews and goal settings for team members that are not direct reports, as requested. Adhere fully to all company policy, procedures and HSSE requirements and lead by example. Conduct work with adherence to enterprise core values, best practices, policies and procedures, and HSSE and quality requirements. Demonstrate leadership through safe working practices, quality control, adherence to any required ISO practices, legislative requirements and complies with enterprise policy and procedures. Make safety a top priority at all times. Perform other job duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS: BS or MS in a relevant engineering discipline. 15+ years of industry experience and technical knowledge in the Pipeline industry with a focus on integrity management. Extensive management experience in consulting of technical services, reliability, maintenance, and equipment integrity management and process safety. Experience with execution and management of engineering projects with specific focus on integrity management, threat assessments, fitness-for-service, and remaining life engineering assessments. Experience and expert knowledge of application and use of industry codes and standards to include CFR Parts 192 and 195, ASME B31.4 and B31.8, and additional relevant codes such as API RP 1176, ASME B31.8S, and API 1160. Proven ability to interact with and effectively manage input from multiple stakeholders to deliver business unit and enterprise goals. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to bridge communication with Quest Integrity regions and AID. Must be self-driven, highly motivated, and diplomatic, and be able to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in business development disciplines, which include financial and strategic goal setting, building and maintaining key customer relations, negotiations and contracts, market research and understanding. Customer focused with excellent attention to detail and a strong ability to work in a team environment. Excellent ability to represent the company in a professional manner with regard to communicating and interfacing with clients. Travel estimated at 30-40%.
