PositionSummary:SomaLogic is a privately-owned bioinformation company that developed a revolutionary proteomics technology capable of measuring thousands of different human proteins in a single small blood or other type sample. We are a dedicated team of colleagues now moving towards commercializing the health-related information derived from our platform to help medical professionals, researchers and people worldwide proactively manage health. As a part of our effort continually to create new value for customers in the life sciences, healthcare, and adjacent markets, we are seeking a creative, energetic, effective colleague to help us develop novel applications and market entry strategies.Key JobResponsibilities:Working with the SVP for Innovation & New Market Development, together with stakeholders in executive and commercial leadership, the successful candidate will help: Identify, analyze, and develop the business case for SomaLogic's innovation initiatives and entry into new markets. Craft scalable business models and solutions to expand SomaLogic's market reach and customer value. Devise market entry strategies and cultivate partnerships with key market players to reduce risk for new ventures. Collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive efficient decision-making and complete transactions in a timely manner, including creation of internal review and approval documents and management of key transactional steps. Actively monitor and research industry, market, and transaction trends in related business areas to support SomaLogic's goals and mission, including health information, healthcare, "omics, diagnostics, digital health, personalized medicine, drug development, and life science research.Qualifications:EducationB.S. or B.A. required with at least 5 years, or M.B.A. or J.D. with at least 2 years of related industry experience Skills and experience Experience in new market and/or new product development or related consulting with emphasis in the fields of 'omics, digital health, health information analytics or drug development / CRO Strong skills in the analysis of new business opportunities in view of corporate and stakeholder objectives, and strategic and financial returns Training and experience in business innovation a plus Experience in strategic alliances or business development a plus Understanding of the licensing, regulatory, and commercial business models in the health information, "omics and/or molecular diagnostics industry a plus Ability to work with and manage internal teams, scientific/technical information and transactional processes to advance complex business initiatives A critical thinker with ability to get to the right level of detail to balance speed of execution and facilitate optimal decision-making by executive management Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience in interacting with executive-level management and executive-level partners.Work Environment:Work is in typical office environment. Ability to travel 20% of the timeSDL2017
