Primary Objective of Position: Provide strategic and tactical
leadership for white space market identification, research, and
product development pertinent to the Micro Motion Sensor portfolio.
Under minimal direction, responsible for prioritizing white space
research initiatives, providing early requirements and market
guidance to technology and R&D teams, and owning projects
through the product development stages. Deliver marketing, channel,
and operational strategy that will expand Micro Motions accessible
market. Additionally, accountable for product ownership and
marketing initiatives for established or in-work products targeting
Food & Beverage, Life Sciences and Alternative Fuels market
segments. Primary Job Responsibilities: Ownership of white space
market research, including third-party (vendor) relationship
management, research budget management, cross-functional
requirements development, and supporting product development cycle.
Organize and execute customer research studies, interviews,
research reports, and consolidated learnings. Champion incremental
business opportunities in industry and markets beyond Micro Motions
core business segments. Contribution to sensor roadmap, including
an outline of key strategies, appraisal of different business
opportunities, and prioritized one-year, near-term, and long-term
action plan regarding industry expansion. Drive alignment between
Marketing roadmap and Engineering R&D initiatives. Build
cross-functional and cross-Business Unit relationships to consider
alignment with holistic Emerson portfolio objectives. Develop and
execute strategies for maximizing Sales Channel and Operations
effectiveness in relation to proposed new product development.
Utilize a comprehensive buy, build, or partner analysis to propose
optimal go-to-market strategy for new business opportunities.
Integrate painted door test and other agile market analysis
techniques to substantiate prioritization of initiatives and
expedite time-to-market. Accountable for Product Marketing
ownership of establish Coriolis products in assigned market segment
(e.g. F&B, LS, Alt Fuels).
