This role is open to either Boulder, CO or North Haven, CT.A Day in the Life The Global Senior Product Manager, Upstream Advanced Surgical Instruments (ASI) reports directly to the Global Upstream ASI Senior Manager, and will play a critical role in helping analyze and execute the China 2025 strategy and other initiatives to drive disproportionate growth opportunities in the Greater China market. You will provide market and needs assessment, selection, and execution and launch of key regional products. You will be key in evaluating market trends, completing portfolio financial analysis, and evaluating financial metrics to deliver a regionalized organic and inorganic pipeline. In this role you will work with key regional, downstream and cross- functional partners to lead, facilitate, and collaborate the portfolio segmentation strategy and execution amongst the different market tiers in China. This includes (but is not limited to); opportunity assessments, Enrich modeling, market size and market share analysis, new product forecasting, margin analysis, and other activities as needed. Additionally, you will continually look for opportunities across the ASI portfolio and how we leverage key strategic initiatives including but not limited to procedure mapping and opportunity exploration, OR of the Future initiatives, and inorganic business development opportunities. Portfolio Analysis: Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide strategic insight, lead local opportunity assessments, and Enrich inputs across the ASI portfolio for the China market. Provide strategic presentations for investment opportunities and provide key updates to leadership. Continually look for the top opportunities across ASI to take advantage of a growing market, competitive activities and changing policies. Analyze portfolio for margin enhancement opportunities and impact across the ASI portfolio. Opportunity Assessments: Evaluate and research market trends and customer habits to provide ongoing regional insights to the ASI upstream team. Provide competitive assessments across the ASI portfolio and provide updates. Partner with regional marketers and BD&L to assess both organic and inorganic opportunities. Anticipated travel is approximately 30% (domestic & international)Must Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree requiredMinimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in marketing, product management or similar, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years'Nice to Have Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, R&D or similar degree, MBA desiredExperience within medical devices/healthcare industry or similar high tech industry with AI experience preferredIncredible Analytical skills and proficiency in building financial modelsStrong understanding of surgical procedures and product performance.Exercises superior judgment in planning, organizing and executing work; monitors performance and reports program status.Proven ability to work effectively as a team member across cross-functional teamsHighly effective written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated prioritization and organizational skillsAbility to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and prioritiesPrevious product launch and upstream marketing experiencePrevious regional experience in Asia in a marketing function launching new productsKnowledge of product development process, and demonstrated leadership in a matrix environmentExperience in consulting, strategic planning, or finance environment, demanding a sophisticated approach to understanding strategic needs, financial/market models, competitive trends and business impactAbility to manage concurrent, complex assignments under limited directionProficiency with a variety of personal computer software applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointBilingual- English and ChineseAbout Medtronic Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
