The YMCA of Northern Colorado in Boulder is seeking smilers, skilled chatters, and expert joy providers. We are in need of customer service specialists to welcome our members, answer questions, give tours, and help individuals and families understand and access Y offerings. This is a great entry level job and perfect for those seeking a second job or easing back into employment.

You are ready to make a difference. You understand that this position is not simply a customer service job at a gym. You know you can help strengthen your community and support your neighbors in need.

Position is part time 12-25 hours per week, year round. This is a flexible role that can fit a new retiree as well as someone just starting in the work force or seeking a second job. Opportunities for evenings and weekends are currently open. Priority is given to those who are available at least one weekend shift each week. Available shifts include:

  • Weekdays 3 or 4pm-8pm
  • Saturdays multiple shifts from 10am-5pm
  • Sundays multiple shifts from 7:45am- 2pm

Salary starts at $12.32/hour. We offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff (Spanish and English) and a +10% differential for staff working the opening shift until 9am. These increases can be combined. And there are great benefits, too. Part time staff working more than 15 hours each week are eligible for free individual and discounted family membership as well as 25%-50% off most YMCA of Northern Colorado program fees for themselves and qualifying family members (including personal training, swim lessons, after school programs, day camp programs and more) on a space available basis. Additional benefits include earned sick time and contributions of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund for eligible staff.


  • Must be reliable and committed to arriving on time for every shift
  • Customer Service and Sales Experience
  • Professional, alert, courteous, and tactful
  • Spanish proficiency preferred (additional 10% pay differential for Spanish and English fluency)
  • Intermediate computer skills required
