Flatirons Solutions is looking to hire an experienced and friendly IT Manager out of our Boulder, CO office. In this leadership role, you will be a key member of our Information Technology/Systems team. Role Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Information Technology/Systems (ITS) operations and to ensure that the company is utilizing technology to provide employees with a fast, accurate, and secure method of gaining access to information. It will be your responsibility to effectively train and lead the ITS team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and office equipment.

  • Oversee end-user services, including help desk and technical support.

  • Develop and implements all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standard, purchasing, and customer service.

  • Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for improvement and growth of the IT security, infrastructure and systems.

  • Develop, strengthens, and lead the IT team members; provides training, guidance, and support for individual and professional growth of the team.

  • Oversee and determine time frames for major IT projects including software updates, system updates, migrations and outages.

  • Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future technology needs and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of strategic IT security projects and initiatives.

  • Manage the financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.

  • Adhere to the requirements of the Quality Management System and the Information Security Management System.

Supervisory Duties

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; setting and evaluating work goals and objectives; evaluating performance; rewarding and recognizing employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems all with a focus of acquiring and retaining a highly skilled and motivated work force.

  • Drive the company culture by promoting the values

  • Responsible for writing performance reviews, mentoring and working with individual employees to improve work and/or behavior, receiving time off requests, etc.

  • Coach, mentor, and motivate team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

  • Ensure that all direct reports are trained and capable of performing the tasks assigned.

  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented, while also being able to grasp the big picture.

  • Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality.

  • Excellent problem resolution and decision-making abilities.

  • Self-motivated, pursues knowledge acquisition and skill enhancement opportunities.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technology consultants and non-technical staff members.

Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, and/or equivalent work experience required.

  • 10+ years of related work experience; 3+ years in a management or leadership role.

Computer Skills

  • Microsoft Certification a plus.

  • Skills to install computer equipment and various programs.

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows operation systems, Cloud based systems, Microsoft Suites, SQL database, and LAN technologies.

Miscellaneous

  • Strong knowledge of IT terminology.

Salary

  • $90,000 to $105,000
