Job Summary

The Outdoor Recreation Economy (ORE) Program Manager has administrative responsibility for the ORE program. This position is responsible for program coordination, project management, human resources administration, and student support and services.

Who We Are

ORE is an innovative, online professional graduate program that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to pursue a wide range of careers in the ORE space. This graduate program offers a master's degree and graduate certificates and builds students into leaders across the outdoor recreation economy. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Program Operations

* Liaison: Serves as liaison to the Graduate School, the Environmental Studies Program, the Masters of the Environment Program, the Division of Continuing Education, the Office of Information Technology, the Registrar's Office, Financial Aid, the College of Arts and Sciences, and other administrative offices on campus. * Curriculum: Coordinates ORE scheduling, degree audit, and catalog edits; monitors enrollments; initiates solutions as needed; administers program FCQs; provides appropriate curricular information to ORE students, staff, and faculty, along with other offices; tracks curricular issues and trends; reviews processes for course inventory and determines if a course of action is required.

Faculty Support:

* Primary point of contact for faculty information including education on CU Boulder's online learning and content platforms and course scheduling, * Troubleshoots and solves problems including online course access, scheduling, etc. * Track ORE course and program history, enrollments, including all ORE courses, materials, course proposals, graduate faculty appointment documents, and syllabi. * Tracks and maintain Faculty Course Questionnaires (FCQs). * Request and track Graduate Faculty Appointments as necessary * Program Policies: Create, design, implement and archive ORE program procedures. * Internal Communications: Oversee program and operations communications to current students, faculty, and staff. Manage and contribute to the production of the ORE annual report. * Event Planning: Assist in planning, logistics, and execution of ORE events.

Student Services

Provide student academic program support to both current and prospective students including:

* Advice regarding ORE program, Graduate School, and university policies and procedures. * Advice on scheduling and course registration process: course drops, withdrawals, leaves of absence, etc. * Assist students in navigating processes, including enrollment, grading, credit transfer requests, degree progress tracking, academic standing, and awarding of degrees and certificates. * Field student questions and resolve any administrative issues with university stakeholders in areas such as financial aid, student records, billing, Graduate School policies, etc. * New Student Orientation. * ORE Graduation: Plans, communicates, and manages ORE graduation exercises

Project Management: Working with faculty and staff, develop, implement and track project management plans and timelines,

Human Resources:

* Manage, coordinate and track hiring processes. * Onboard new employees. * Oversee letters of offer and HR requirements for ORE lecturers, instructors, staff, and student workers.

Admitted Students Management

* Manage all communications with incoming students. * Educate incoming students regarding all matriculation requirements including guidance on registration, tuition payment, financial aid, and other relevant information.

Other Activities

* Participate with other ORE staff in activities, recruiting and professional development events.

What You Should Know

* Some events and activities may fall outside of normal work hours.

What We Can Offer

Annual salary range is $65,000 to $75,000.

What We Require

* Bachelor's Degree. * 5 years of relevant professional experience, including 3 years of human resources and/or administrative program operations experience.

What We Would Like You To Have

* 6+ years of professional experience. * Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams. * Professional experience in program management in higher education. * Program operations knowledge that includes significant online programs operation experience. * Professional experience working in a complex organizational environment. * Project management experience.
