Job Overview

The Marketing Manager assists with the development, implementation and management of online marketing programs, websites, social media, SEO, content, and related programs. The ideal candidate demonstrates enthusiasm and passion for all facets of marketing.


Social Media

* Overall - Marketing Manager should create and drive a social media strategy that supports the property with oversight from the DOSM and support as needed from the corporate Manager of PR & Social Media

* Understanding of social media marketing best practices and strategy across Facebook and Instagram

* Understanding, or ability to learn, the best practices for hotels/restaurants/hospitality brands within the social media space and the ability to implement those practices across all channels

* Ability to create professional, relevant and on-brand content to be published to all profiles

* The ability to strategically think and implement a plan on social media channels that will support brand awareness and larger sales & marketing goals

* Ability to set goals and benchmarks for social media success and the ability to strategically plan on how to meet those goals

* Ability to competently engage and respond to guests' comments and messages across all platforms; knowledge of how to handle a guest crisis should it arise via social media

* Competency in using or learning to use Sprout Social

Public Relations

* Assist DOSM with planning and execution of PR worthy activations, programming, amenities, packages, etc.


* Ability to utilize branding documents to help understand brand story and identity; ability to effectively and accurately pull that brand identity through to other tasks along with ability to coincide with brand story from Hilton for both hotel

Digital Marketing

* Basic knowledge (or willingness/aptitude to learn) digital marketing tactics. Ability to review results and measure successfulness of channel tactics including:



* Display advertising

* Social advertising

* Website Content - responsible for reviewing, updating and creating new pages as allowed by Hilton

* Advertising Content - responsible for reviewing, providing actionable feedback and approving paid advertising copy, display advertisements, and social media advertisements

* CMS - Working knowledge of Content Manager within Hilton and understanding of its capabilities. Responsible for updating images, creating packages, and other sales materials.

* Coordination with Sales, Operations and Revenue Management on packages, offers and deals and communicate offerings to digital vendor.

* Managing online brand, ensuring brand messaging / pillars are pulled through the websites and digital marketing.

* Ability to leverage corporate support resources and best practices

Groups and Events

* Development of promotions to drive Group and Event business

* Assist with maintenance of all listings of hotels to ensure relevancy and accuracy

Food & Beverage

* Assist with design of seasonal menus

* Create and promote outlets to drive business for all meal periods

Other items

* Utilize current reporting from brands to drive improved content and marketing initiatives and decisions

* Direct, manage or assist in the development of creative materials, online and offline, to support both corporate and property marketing goals

* Assist designated hotels with communication (flyers, signs, etc.) - work with property staff on design and creation of new materials

* Utilize Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat

* Maintains and stores a chronological order of media library and electronic files of all advertising materials by property and activity.


Education/Formal Training

A four year college degree or equivalent education/experience.


Required to have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a marketing position. Hospitality experience preferred.


* Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

* Excellent comprehension and literacy required to read manager's letters, help prepare contracts and proposals

* Ability to negotiate effectively

* Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

* Professional appearance and manner

* Computer literacy, specifically MS Word for Windows

* Communication at all levels; multi-tasking; time management
