Job Description:

If you are a Machinist professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you located in Boulder, CO. Under close supervision, sets up and operates one or two production machines on routine and repetitive operations. Requires the ability to follow written instructions. As a Machinist I Professional You Will:

  • Identifies work to be done by following standardized communication procedures.
  • Cooperatively flexes into other areas as assigned.
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Resolves routine questions and problems, refers complex issues to higherlevels.
  • Ensures product and process quality is maintained through visual inspection, measuring instrumentsand testing as required.
  • Bring concerns about product and process quality to attention of area management.
  • Thoroughly documents all product travelers ensuring proper quality documentation as applicable to a given process.
  • Enters data and performs computer transactions as appropriate.
  • Contributes input to and cooperates with improvement teams and lean manufacturing efforts to helpimprove quality, shorten cycle times, and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on, and ensures calibration of, equipment, tools, and fixtures, asrequired.
  • Willingly participates in inter and/or intra departmental job rotations as needed.
  • Keeps work areas clean and organized, in accordance with 5s + 1 principles.
  • Knows and follows all safety procedures as required in a specific operation. Identifies safety concernsand takes appropriate action.
  • Willingly shares skills and knowledge.
  • Effectively gives and receives feedback.
  • Cooperatively performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintains good safety, attendance, and performance records.
  • Able to read, interpret, and follow written, visual, drawings and verbal work instructions.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform basic setups and capable of machining standard parts on one or moremachines.
  • Demonstrates ability to read and understand man readables and programs.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly and work well with all members of a team.

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Grade 12 requires 1 year in grade 11. Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
      • Trade School a plus.
      • 6 months of experience either through school or on the job is preferred.
      • Manufacturing experience is a plus. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the pay range for this role is $18.55 - $25.72per hour, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.WHY EMERSON?
